What has wine got to do with Stäfeli?

In 1997 Heinz Birk made his second large passion (the first is the hotel) part of the business and established the Wine Shop Heinz Birk. From the beginning the wine shop was integrated into Hotel Stäfeli, and now offers inspiration for the guests' taste buds at Hotel Stäfeli and the Achtele, as Heinz Birk as a wine merchant has wonderful treasures in his wine cellar.

Don't miss to taste SchiWaGo, the wine created by Heinz Birk from the special Stäfeli winery. It was made by Heinz Birk and Werner Müllner, both from Lech/Zug, especially for the people living in the Arlberg region and their friends. The name 'SchiWaGo' stands for
the German words for skiing, hiking and golfing and therefore represents the Arlberg region with all its diversity and possibilities. Buying a bottle of Schiwago, you also support the Bergrettung in Lech.

Every second year in summer we host a large wine tasting, with more than 20 winegrowers and Schnapps distillers from all over Austria. Many wine lovers come here to Zug, to participate in the event. They will be part of great tastings, nice talks with winegrowers and wine lovers and a wonderful ambience.
