Wine Trade at Hotel in Lech - Heinz Birk

After the head of the house - Mr Heinz Birk - had finished his training in the hotel and tourist trade, he dedicated himself intensively to his hobby - wine cultivation - and made trading in fine wines his future activity...

He fostered his special passion for the wine-growing country of Austria by starting a completely new sales line here on the Arlberg.
He wished especially to offer a chance to the "young", emerging vintners to make a name for themselves here on the Arlberg.
Many of these vintners from those early days are now among the best in the country...

Mr Birk again took on two new vintners last year:

• Gsellmann and Hans from Gols
• Daniel Jaunegg from Trautenburg
